Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information TapStar India collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have — written in plain language.
Who we are
TapStar India makes NFC Google review cards, NFC business cards and wedding invitation cards. We are based at K-76, Batla House, Jamia Nagar, Okhla, New Delhi 110025. For any privacy question or request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 78381 57784.
What we collect
- When you contact us or order: your name, phone number, the email address you give in the order form, your business name, the number of cards you want, your delivery address, and our WhatsApp conversation.
- To build your card page: the business details, logo, links and scenery you ask us to show. These are meant to be public — anyone who taps your card sees them.
- If you edit your page yourself: your card number and PIN. We store the PIN only in scrambled (hashed) form, so nobody — including us — can read it. We also keep earlier versions of your page so changes can be undone.
- When you visit our website: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site. If we switch on Google Analytics, it uses cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful.
- When someone taps a TapStar card: our short-link provider records the click (time, device type and approximate location) so we can see that cards are working. Card pages themselves do not set cookies.
- Your approximate location: when you open our website, our hosting provider tells the page your approximate city, state and country (worked out from your internet connection) so we can greet you and suggest your local page. It is used only in your browser at that moment — we don’t store it.
Why we use it
- To make, deliver and set up your card, and to talk to you about your order.
- To keep your card page online and let you edit it securely.
- To fix problems, prevent misuse and improve our website and cards.
- We never sell your information, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with the services we need to run TapStar: Netlify (website and card pages), Short.io (card short links), Google (Maps and, if switched on, Analytics), WhatsApp (our conversations), PayPal (payments from customers outside India), and courier partners (your delivery address and phone). We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your card page and its details for as long as your card is in use. Order records are kept as long as the law requires. Ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we must keep it by law.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. All-in-One card owners can also correct their page details themselves at tapstarindia.com/edit. For any request or complaint, message us on WhatsApp — we will reply as quickly as we can.
Keeping it safe
Card links are digitally signed so they can’t be tampered with, PINs are stored scrambled, and edit sessions expire automatically. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
