1. Does it have both NFC and a QR code? NFC is faster, but some phones have it switched off or missing. A card without a QR code quietly loses those customers. Why you need both →
2. Does it open the review form, not just your Google listing? Some cards open your Maps page, and customers then have to find the review button. The card should open Google's "write a review" form directly.
3. Can the link be changed later without a new card? If the seller writes your Google link straight onto the chip, the card dies when the link changes. Ask: "If my link changes, what happens?"
4. Is there a monthly or yearly fee? Low card prices are sometimes a way into a subscription. Ask what happens to the card if you stop paying. A card that switches off isn't a card you own.
5. Who sets it up? Many cheap cards arrive blank, and you're left to find your review link and program the chip yourself. A good seller sets it up and shows you it working.
6. Does it work on iPhone and Android? Ask for a demo on both. iPhones read at the top edge, Android phones on the back.
7. Is it branded with your logo? Customers trust a card that looks like part of your shop, not a generic sticker.
